Bellaire Place Police Department report
At 3:39 a.m., Officer Clisham was dispatched to 5241 Bellaire Blvd. to a criminal trespassing complaint. The subject was identified on surveillance video and officers were able to locate the suspect a few blocks away from the location. The suspect had previously been issued a criminal trespass warning from the business. Suspect was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass. Officer Quimby assisted in gathering information from the complainant and Officer Ortega assisted in locating the suspect.
At 12:01 a.m., Officer D. Norman was dispatched to a major accident with a vehicle rolled over in the 6800 block of IH 610 NB. Upon arrival, witnesses on scene advised the driver of the at fault vehicle jumped the concrete barrier from the main lanes down to the service road and left the scene of the vehicle accident on foot. Witnesses advised it was a black male wearing a light colored shirt. Officer R. Bellard located a male matching the description approximately half a mile from the scene of the accident at the intersection of the East Service Road and Bissonnet Street. After further investigation, the suspect was placed in custody for fail to stop and render aid and driving while intoxicated.
At 11:10 a.m., Officer Vorhees was dispatched to the Bellaire Police Department in reference to a female being threatened through Snap Chat in the 4500 block of Pine Street.
At 5:35 p.m., Officer Marcotte initiated a traffic stop on a gray Ford C-Max for failure to display registration in the 5100 block of Bissonnet. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was arrested for driving while license invalid (DWLI).
At 4:25 p.m., Officer Guerra was dispatched to 4541 Bissonnet St. in reference to a burglary. The driver of the vehicle left Bank of America on Bellaire Boulevard and drove the above address. While parking the car, a black male approached and broke the window, stole cash that had been withdrawn from the bank, and fled the area in a grey sedan.
At 7:54 p.m., Officer Guerra was dispatched to the City of Bellaire Fire Department Lobby in reference to a theft in the 4500 block of Holt Street. On Oct. 15 at 8:41 p.m., the victim transferred money to a fraudulent account. The victim assumed it was the person he had been in contact with for a business transaction.
At 7:58 p.m., Officer Schwausch was patrolling the 5200 block of Cedar Street when he observed three males standing next to a car. Officer Schwausch observed an odor consistent with marijuana emitting from their location as he drove by. Officer Schwausch made contact with the 3 males and further investigation found one subject to have South Side Police Department warrants and another subject to have a handgun visible. The handgun was partially in his pocket without a holster, and the suspect was 20 years old. The third subject was checked, cleared and released from the scene. SSPD picked up the subject with their warrants, and the other subject was booked for unlawful carry of a handgun. Officer Liccketto assisted with this investigation.
At 5:15 p.m., Officer Marcotte was flagged down by two victims of a burglary of a motor vehicle that occurred in the 6000 block of Avenue B Street. Officer Marcotte took the report and learned a firearm had also been taken in the burglary. The case is pending further investigation.
At 10:30 p.m., Officer O’Sullivan was dispatched to HEB at 5106 Bissonnet Street in reference to a male subject who was currently detained by employees after shoplifting multiple items. Officer O’Sullivan arrived and after further investigation, the subject was placed in custody for theft. Corporal Kramer, Officer Schwausch, and Officer Guerra assisted in this incident.
At 9:09 a.m., Officer M. Santillanes was dispatched to a burglary of a motor vehicle call at 6811 Chimney Rock Road. Upon arrival Officer Santillanes met with the victim who stated an unknown suspect broke into his vehicle and stole two Apple Iphones and the victim’s car insurance card. Officer Santillanes completed a burglary of motor vehicle report.
At 5:08 p.m., Officer Marcotte initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration in the 5200 block of IH 610 northbound. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested with driving while intoxicated (DWI).
At 9:02 p.m., Officer Schwausch was patrolling the 4800 block of Bellaire Boulevard eastbound when he observed a blue Chrylser travelling in front of him with expired registration as of 01/18. Officer Schwausch initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and found the driver to have 3 confirmed Houston Police Department warrants. Further investigation found the driver to be in possession of approximately 27 grams of marijuana. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana and transported to the Bellaire Jail without incident. Officer Marcotte assisted with this investigation.
At 11:31 p.m., Officer D. Norman conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 White Toyota Camry for no rear license plate light in the 5300 block of Dashwood. The driver fled in the vehicle to the 6600 block of Chimney Rock where defendant was placed in custody after a struggle. Officers T. Quimby and O. Barrientos assisted in this case. Upon further investigation, the defendant was charged with evading in a motor vehicle with a previous conviction and interfering with public duties.
At 11:05 p.m., Officer Quimby observed a green Chevrolet Trailblazer in the 5400 block of Bellaire Boulevard, with no license plate light. Officer Quimby conducted a traffic stop and the vehicle stopped at 5502 Bellaire Blvd. (EZ Pawn Parking Lot). The driver was found to have an outstanding Harris County warrant and to be in possession of marijuana. The driver was placed into custody and transported to the Bellaire Jail for processing and detention.
At 2:20 p.m., Officer H. Lopez was dispatched to the Bellaire Police lobby in reference to a theft in the 100 block of Phanturn Lane. The victim stated on 10-19-2018 his daughter had a charity party at his house and the next day he noticed several cameras were missing from his home.
At 9:10 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Valerie Street in regards to an assault in progress. Officer Delgado made contact with both parties involved. Through investigation the suspect was placed in custody for Continuous Family Violence. Officer Guerra, Officer Liccketto, and Officer O’Sullivan assisted.
At 4:29 p.m., Officer Guerra was dispatched to 5111 Jessamine St. in reference to an indecent exposure. Multiple victims advised the unknown suspect looked at them and grabbed his genital area from the outside of his clothing. After further investigation the investigation concluded the incident was public lewdness. Officer Delgado assisted with this case.
At 2:24 p.m., Officer Vorhees was dispatched to the 900 block of Jolen Court in reference to a BMV. Officer Vorhees met with the victim who stated an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and removed an Echo leaf blower out of the truck bed of his vehicle.
At 2:11 p.m., Officer M. Santillanes was dispatched to the Bellaire Police Department lobby to meet with a reportee regarding a suspicious package they had received in the 4600 block of Maple Street. Upon arrival the officer met with the reportee who stated an unknown person mailed a suspicious package to her home. Officer Santillanes completed an information report regarding the incident.
At 4:59 p.m., Officer Guerra was dispatched to 100 Bellaire Court in reference to a two car minor that occurred in the 6800 block of IH 610 East Service Road. Officer Guerra made contact with the suspect, and observed the suspect to have glossy eyes, slurred speech and strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and person. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
At 3:04 p.m., Officer Guerra was dispatched to Walgreens at 5002 Bellaire Blvd. in reference to a shoplifter. The suspect was located at 6600 South Rice. Officer Guerra arrested the suspect and found the stolen property in the bag she was carrying. The suspect was charged with theft with two previous convictions and transported to the Bellaire Police Department for booking and processing. Officer Marcotte assisted in this case.
At 2:29 p.m., Officers Barber and Younger were dispatched to the 4900 block of Bellview Drive in regards to a welfare check. Officers arrived and after a thorough investigation found that the resident had passed away from natural causes. The next of kin were notified and the deceased was collected from the residence by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. Detective Salinas assisted with the investigation.
At 6 p.m., Officers responded to reports of a car fire at the intersection of 6700 IH 610 West Service Road and 4700 Bellaire Blvd. Upon arrival both occupants of the vehicle in question were identified and shown to have multiple active municipal warrants. During arrest one subject struggled with the arresting officer, Corporal Kramer, and was charged with resisting arrest. The second subject was arrested on municipal warrants without incident.
