GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) _ Jerry Carstensen scored 10 points to lead Wisconsin-Green Bay to a 58-56 overtime victory over Butler Tuesday night.

Green Bay (11-13 overall, 8-6 in the Midwestern Collegiate Conference) trailed the first-place Bulldogs 54-51 in overtime but scored the next seven points, the final two on free throws by Luke Kiss, for a 58-54 lead.

Jeff Rogers’ layup with two seconds left brought the Bulldogs (18-9, 10-4) within 58-56.

The Phoenix then turned the ball over with 0.5 seconds left, but Butler never got a shot off.

The game was dominated by defense throughout. In the first half, Green Bay made only 8 of 21 shots from the field, or 38.1 percent, compared with 7 of 18, 38.9 percent, for Butler. For the game, Green Bay made 41.7 percent and Butler 37.2 percent.

Butler led 22-19 at halftime. The score was tied 50-50 at the end of regulation.

Butler was led by Jon Neuhouser with 18 points and Rolf van Rijn with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
