Elvis Costello, Kesha announce Pittsburgh concerts

No matter your musical tastes, Pittsburgh will have something for you. Two acts have just announced Pittsburgh dates:

• British new wave pioneer Elvis Costello & The Imposters will play Heinz Hall, Downtown, at 7 p.m. Nov. 1.

• Pop star and rapper Kesha, who was in town a matter of weeks ago as the headliner for Pittsburgh Pride in June, will bring her current tour to Mr. Smalls in Millvale at 8 p.m. Aug. 10.

Costello, who has been abroad with his Imperial Bedroom & Other Chambers tour, will return to the United States for a dozen East Coast and Midwest shows this fall. On his website, elviscostello.com, he says he’s framing selections from 1982′s “Imperial Bedroom” album with “the songs that led in and out of that velvet-trimmed playhouse.”
