Sale of DeKalb radio station 92.5 FM finalized
DeKALB – The sale of local progressive talk radio station 92.5 FM-WCPT has been finalized, according to WCPT’s general manager, Mark Pinski.
The station was bought in September by Educational Media Foundation, a California nonprofit which operates radio networks such as K-Love and Air1 featuring contemporary Christian music.
The purchase was pending approval by the Federal Communications Commission, which was just granted, Pinski said.
Local listeners shouldn’t worry, though. The progressive station will continue to broadcast at 820 AM out of Chicago, 92.5 FM in the far-west suburbs of the city, and online at WCPT820.com.
