Apache Corporation gives 100 trees to Odessa parks
Apache Corporation donated 100 trees to the city through Keep Odessa Beautiful that will be planted in Odessa parks.
The trees, awarded through the Apache Foundation Tree Grant Program, are an assortment of five-gallon Afghan Pine, Live Oak, and Chinese Pistachio that will be planted in the City’s Tree Farm on West County Road.
Once acclimatized, the trees will be moved to city parks.
An Apache spokesperson said in a statement that it’s the company’s first tree project with Keep Odessa Beautiful but part of a program that’s given away more than 4 million trees to local communities over 10 years.
“We are proud to support Keep Odessa Beautiful in their efforts to increase the number of trees in Odessa’s Park and Recreation Department,” said Wendy Craven, manager corporate outreach for Apache Corporation, in the statement.
