KDOT awards road construction bids
Bids on construction projects in Lincoln and Washington counties were among those awarded by the Kansas Department of Transportation awarded bids Oct. 19 for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas.
In Lincoln County, L&M Contractors of Great Bend was awarded a $522,724.60 bid to replace a bridge 7 miles south and 3.1 miles east of Vesper.
In Washington County, King Construction and subsidiaries won a $433,195.83 to replace a bridge 1.9 miles west and 0.5 mile south of Washington.
KDOT also awarded a $1,492,112.84 bid to Shilling Construction and Shilling Asphalt of Manhattan to mill and overlay K-57 beginning at the I-70/K-57 junction and continuing to the Geary-Morris county line and beginning at the Geary-Morris county line south to the K-4/K-57 junction.
