Woman killed, man severely burned in Glendale apartment fire
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a woman has been killed and a man severely burned in a fire at a Glendale apartment.
Glendale Fire Department officials say the fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. Monday on the patio of one of the lower units at the apartment complex near 51st and Northern avenues.
They say the fire quickly spread into the apartment and then moved into a second-floor unit that was occupied by four adults.
Two of the adults were able to get out safely, but a woman in her 20s died and a man in his 20s was injured and transported to a hospital.
Authorities say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
