Police: Man shot, killed in North Carolina home invasion
BETHEL, N.C. (AP) — Police in North Carolina say a man has been shot and killed in a home invasion.
WITN says Bethel police confirmed that a man went into a mobile home early Friday and fired multiple shots, killing a man at the home.
Bethel Police Chief Amanda Tyndall identified the victim as Antoine Harrell. Tyndall said it’s the town’s first murder in several years, and added that the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation will assist with the case.
Police say the shooting occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.
Bethel is 86 miles (138 kilometers) east of Raleigh.
