Culloden man arrested stealing grandmother’s jewelry

CULLODEN — The following information was provided by criminal complaints from Cabell County Magistrate Court and booking records from Western Regional Jail:

BURGLARY: A 26-year-old Culloden man was arrested Sunday after breaking into his grandmother’s home to steal jewelry twice in three days.

Derrick Alan Harrison is charged with receiving/transferring stolen property, petit larceny, and two counts of daytime burglary, according to criminal complaints from Cabell County Magistrate Court.

Harrison was arrested Sunday after breaking into the unoccupied home in the 1000 block of Park Drive, and admitted to breaking in Friday to steal jewelry as well. The homeowner is currently in a nursing home.

Harrison is held in Western Regional jail on a $55,000 bond.

The following information was provided by reports from the Huntington Police Department:

The Huntington Police Department listed nine new incident reports in the 24-hour period ending at 3 p.m. on Monday, according to a printout released by the department. However, the individual police reports were not made available, so these are the only known details:

Disorderly conduct, public intoxication, 11:22 p.m. Sunday, 200 block of Oney Avenue.

Improper registration, suspended license, 7:45 p.m. Sunday, 28th Street and Artisan Avenue.

Destruction of property, 9:30 p.m. Saturday, 300 block of Marcum Terrace.

Counterfeiting, 4:26 p.m. Saturday, 2100 block of 8th Avenue.

Intoxicating substances, 12:57 p.m. Saturday, 400 block of West 10th Street.

Destruction of property, assault, 10 p.m. Friday, 200 block of 37th Street.

Shoplifting, midnight Saturday, 26th Street/12th Avenue.

Warrant service, wanton endangerment with a firearm, 2:20 a.m. Saturday, 3500 block of 5th Avenue, Guyandotte.

Domestic assault, destruction of property, 4:10 a.m. Sunday, 1100 block of 25th Street.

The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail:

Scott Edmund Graham, 41, was jailed at 6:20 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with wanton endangerment, grand larceny and domestic assault. Bond was not set.

Derek Anthony Hutchinson, 35, was jailed at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with burglary, domestic battery, domestic assault and violation of a protective order. Bond was $30,000.

Christopher Allyn Coyner, 51, was jailed at 12:10 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with grand larceny and receiving or transferring stolen goods. Bond was not set.
