BLACKBURN, England (AP) — Captain Danny Shittu headed Millwall into the FA Cup semifinals Wednesday, scoring late in the first half for a 1-0 win over Blackburn.

Shittu, whose only other goal this season came in the fourth-round win over Aston Villa, converted Chris Taylor's 43rd-minute corner with a thumping header to settle the replay after a scoreless draw last weekend.

Millwall will next play Wigan at Wembley in a rematch of their 1999 Football League Trophy final.

Blackburn couldn't force a shot on target in their first meeting but started brightly and tested goalkeeper David Forde through Leon Best's speculative fourth-minute drive. Blackburn then had a period of sustained pressure in the second half, and Best came close in the 63rd when he drifted through the defense but had his effort cleared off the line by Shane Lowry.
