Officials identify victim of Helena-area homicide
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Lewis and Clark County officials have released the name of a 56-year-old Helena man whose body was found north of Canyon Ferry Reservoir.
Sheriff and Coroner Leo Dutton said Friday that Shane White was beaten and stabbed.
A family member reported him missing on Monday. Officers found his body on Wednesday north of the lake.
No charges have been filed connected to White’s death. However, Dutton has said investigators have identified persons of interest and officials don’t believe there is a threat to the community.
