Police: Fairfield man says friendly escort stole $500

September 12, 2016 GMT

FAIRFIELD — A 40-year-old man told police Monday he thought he was “developing a friendship” with an escort who allegedly stole $500 from him.

The Stratfield Road man reported the theft around 1 a.m., after a second visit from the escort, known only to him as “Amanda,” that he met via Craig’s List. He said Amanda first came to his home about three weeks ago, and he paid her $200 for sex.

When she returned this time, the man said he thought the sex would be free because they were developing a friendship. This time, however, after having sex, he said Amanda told him she had to get something out of her car.

She left his condo unit, took $500 in cash off the counter, and never returned according to the police report.
