Robbery suspects face more charges

KINGMAN — Two Kingman men allegedly involved in a string of armed robberies and kidnappings throughout Mohave County were arraigned Wednesday on numerous new charges.

Preston Earl Milks, 25, was arraigned at the county jail on new charges including armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault and misconduct involving body armor. The charges allegedly involved the robbery of a Golden Valley gas station on March 18.

Francis William Allison, 58, was arraigned on new charges including armed robbery, aggravated robbery, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of aggravated assault and misconduct involving body armor. Those charges allegedly involved the robbery and kidnaping of two people in Meadview on Jan. 1.

Milks and Allison also were arraigned on new charges including armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and misconduct involving body armor. Those charges allegedly involved the robbery of a Dollar General store in Golden Valley on Feb. 4.

Milks is charged in a previous case with seven counts including armed robbery, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and misconduct with a weapon. He is charged in another case with 10 counts including aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, theft and misconduct involving body armor. He is charged in another case with first-degree burglary and misconduct involving body armor.

Allison is charged in one case with 11 counts including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated robbery, criminal damage and misconduct involving body armor. In another case, he is charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault and misconduct involving body armor.

He is also charge in another case with theft and burglary.

A third codefendant, Anthony Scott Axton, 32, is charged with attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, three counts of aggravated robbery, four counts of misconduct involving body armor, two counts of theft, two counts of burglary and criminal damage.

On July 1, Axton and Allison, both wearing body armor, allegedly robbed the Dollar General store in Kingman. As police officers arrived, Axton, armed with an AR-15 rifle, allegedly exchanged gunfire with police officers.

Axton was injured in the shootout and treated at a Las Vegas hospital before being returned to Mohave County in September. Allison fled on foot and was not involved in the gun battle with police officers. He was arrested July 3 in Kingman.

Axton, Allison and Milks are allegedly involved in a string of robberies in the Kingman area going back to September of 2017.
