Mount Airy Applies For Sports Wagering License

PARADISE TWP. — Mount Airy Casino Resort filed for a sports wagering license with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Friday. The board will investigate Mount Airy’s request, and it will decide whether to accept or deny the license request during one of its monthly public meetings, said gaming control board spokesman Richard McGarvey. A date has not yet been set, he said. Mount Airy to plans to enter Pennsylvania’s online sports wagering and gaming market, and if approved, it will have to pay a $10 million licensing fee.
