Scranton Police Seek Assault Suspect

SCRANTON — Scranton police are searching for a man accused of hitting another man over the head with a pipe-like object.

The victim, Warren Leonard told police he was attacked with “pipe or some other very hard object” for “talking bad” about a man named “Charlie” on Oliver Street and Penn Avenue in Scranton in October. Leonard was bleeding from the right side of his head and had swelling and a large cut on the left side of his face, police said.

Leonard later identified his assailant as Charles Robert Parks to a Scranton Police Detective.

Parks, 53, address unknown, is charged with aggravated assault, harassment and other related charges.
