Conemaugh hospital lifts visitor restrictions
Temporary visitor restrictions that were in place for Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and Conemaugh Physician Group offices have been lifted, according to a spokeswoman for Conemaugh Health System.
In January hospital officials asked visitors with flu symptoms not to visit patients.
Additionally, children younger than 12 were asked not to visit and only two adult visitors were allowed to see a patient at once.
The Johnstown hospital had 148 documented cases of the flu in January, compared with 22 in December.
Spokeswoman Francine Bodnar said Thursday that the peak of flu season is now over.
