FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The father-in-law of New England Revolution goalie Matt Reis is in critical condition, two days after twin bombings at the Boston Marathon.

Lizz Summers, a spokeswoman for the Major League Soccer team, said on Wednesday that Reis' father-in-law, John Odom, is at an unnamed Boston hospital. She would not release details on the nature of his injuries.

Odom was waiting for his daughter, Nicole Reis, to finish the marathon when the bombs went off.

Summers says the girlfriend of another player, Chris Tierney, was also injured. She said the woman was listed in stable condition as of Tuesday and was expecting to be released. Tierney asked that her name not be released.

Three people were killed and more than 170 people were injured in Monday's bombings.
