Accused shoplifter arrested in Riverside

GREENWICH — An alleged shoplifter was arrested at the CVS store in Riverside Friday afternoon.

Robert Irizarry, 50, of Bointon Ave., the Bronx, N.Y., was charged with sixth-degree larceny, and the value of the merchandise was said to be less than $200.

Police reviewed video footage of Irizarry putting self-tanning and skin care items into his backpack, according to police. The items were later recovered.

An arrest warrant from New York City was discovered, as well.

Bail was set at $20,000.
