Longmont Police Notes: Car Nap Leads to Arrest

A Longmont man was found sleeping in a running car in an alley in the 1500 block of Bross Street on Friday. The man had drug items in plain view when officers looked inside the car, and he was arrested.

Longmont police officers responded to a domestic incident on Friday in the 100 block of Rogers Rd. A man was arrested for domestic violence and drug charges.

Longmont police were dispatched to the area of Calais Drive and Olympia Avenue on Friday in response to a DUI. A 49-year-old woman was arrested for DUI-related charges.

Officers with the Longmont Police Department arrested a man Friday for violation of a protection order and outstanding arrest warrants in the 2200 block of Dexter Drive.

Longmont officers investigated a possible incident Friday of child abuse that occurred 12 days ago in the 100 block of Lincoln Street. Upon investigation, there is no evidence to suggest anything criminal occurred and the case is closed.

Police took a report Friday of an auto theft from the 1100 block of Lefthand Drive. A man stated that a woman had taken the vehicle without his permission. The case is open pending arrest warrant.
