SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — For the Florida Panthers, the All-Star break arrives when they are in the middle of a win streak.
Frank Vatrano had a goal and three assists for a career-high four points to lift the Panthers over the San Jose Sharks 6-2 on Monday night, their third straight win after losing their previous seven games.
The Panthers beat Nashville and Toronto in their past two games and scored 13 goals in the process.
Ekblad, Trocheck lead Panthers over Predators 4-2
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Vincent Trocheck's legs are feeling good and the Panthers are grateful.
Trocheck and Aaron Ekblad each had a goal and an assist to lead Florida to a 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators on Saturday night.
On a breakaway, Trocheck slipped a backhander between Juuse Saros' pads at 2:59 of the second to give Florida a 3-0 lead. After missing 27 games with a broken ankle, Trocheck has three points in the two games he has played since returning to the lineup.
NHL fines Canadiens’ Danault $5K for tripping Ekblad
NEW YORK (AP) — Montreal Canadiens forward Phillip Danault was fined $5,000 for a dangerous trip against Florida Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad.
Danault tripped Ekblad with about 2 1/2 minutes remaining in Montreal's 5-3 win at Florida on Friday night. Danault was given a roughing penalty on the play. The NHL announced the fine Saturday.
Soderberg, Compher lead Avalanche past Panthers 5-2
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Colorado Avalanche are making strides on the road.
Carl Soderberg scored twice, J.T. Compher broke a third-period tie and Colorado beat the Florida Panthers 5-2 on Thursday night.
The Avalanche won their 11th road game after winning only 15 all of last season.
Ekblad, Dadonov lead Panthers past Flyers 2-1
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Florida Panthers kicked off their longest road trip of the season with another victory.
Aaron Ekblad and Evgenii Dadonov scored goals, Roberto Luongo made 29 saves and the Panthers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 Tuesday night for their fifth straight win.

Evgenii Dadonov had a goal and an assist in the third period and the Florida Panthers rallied to beat the host Lightning 3-2 in Tampa Bay on Tuesday night.
Trailing 2-0 at the start of the third, Dadonov scored 2:16 in. Aaron Ekblad added a short-handed goal at 7:03 to tie the score, and Aleksander Barkov scored the game-winner just over five minutes later.

QUEBEC CITY (AP) — Brendan Gallagher had a goal and an assist to help the Montreal Canadiens beat the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals 5-2 on Thursday night at the Videotron Centre.

Canadiens’ Domi suspended for preseason for punching Ekblad
NEW YORK (AP) — Montreal Canadiens forward Max Domi has been suspended for the remainder of the NHL preseason after punching Florida defenseman Aaron Ekblad during an exhibition game.
The NHL's Department of Player Safety made the announcement Thursday following an afternoon hearing with Domi.

MONTREAL (AP) — Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo said Max Domi's sucker punch on Aaron Ekblad was "gutless."
Domi was given a match penalty for punching Ekblad in the nose in the third period in the Panthers' 5-2 exhibition victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.
Ekblad left the game, at the NHL's request, and did not return. He went through tests after the game and cleared concussion protocol.
Luongo gets 3rd shutout, Panthers beat Canadiens 2-0
MONTREAL (AP) — Roberto Luongo got another shutout and helped the Florida Panthers inch closer to a playoff spot.
Luongo stopped 28 shots for his third shutout of the season and 76th of his career, leading the Panthers to a 2-0 victory over the injury-riddled Montreal Canadiens on Monday night.

"If that's what happens on my birthday, I'll take it every day," Reimer said.
Making his first start in six games, Reimer earned his third shutout of the season. Nick Bjugstad had a goal and an assist, and Vincent Trocheck and Aaron Ekblad also scored. Evgenii Dadonov added two assists.

TORONTO (AP) — William Nylander had two goals and an assist, helping the streaking Toronto Maple Leafs top the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-3 on Monday night.

Nathan MacKinnon and Alexander Kerfoot scored 41 seconds apart in the second period and Colorado beat the Florida Panthers 7-3 on Saturday night to snap a four-game skid.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Panthers lost another key player in a win Thursday night.
Micheal Haley scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period, and the Panthers overcame an injury to Aleksander Barkov to beat the Winnipeg Jets 6-4.
Barkov left in the second period after taking a blow to the head and did not return. Vincent Trocheck also briefly left the game in the second after being hit near the eye.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Roberto Luongo finally tied Curtis Joseph for fourth place on the NHL career victory list.
Luongo reached 454 victories, making 37 saves to help the Florida Panthers beat the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on Thursday night.
The 38-year-old Luongo was playing his first home game since a Feb. 28 victory over Carolina. He didn't play after March 2 last season because of recurring hip issues.

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Tuukka Rask and the Boston Bruins are on quite a run against the Florida Panthers.
Rask had 25 saves, Brad Marchand scored two goals and the Bruins beat the Panthers 4-0 on Saturday night.
Riley Nash and David Backes also scored, helping Boston improve to 4-0 against Florida this season. Rask got his fifth shutout of the season.
Rask is 19-3-1 against the Panthers with four shutouts.

MONTREAL (AP) — Aaron Ekblad broke his stick on an awkward slap shot that sneaked by goalie Carey Price in overtime, helping the Florida Panthers beat the NHL-leading Montreal Canadiens 4-3 on Tuesday night.
Ekblad wound for a shot from the right hash marks, but his stick snapped and the puck slid slowly toward the net. It deflected off the boot of defenseman Nathan Beaulieu before sliding past Price 2:59 into OT.

The team announced the extent of Huberdeau's injury on Sunday, a day after he got hurt in Florida's preseason finale at West Point, New York. Huberdeau was expected to be a part of Florida's top line, alongside Jaromir Jagr and Aleksander Barkov.

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Jonathan Huberdeau left with an apparent left leg injury during the Florida Panthers' 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.
As Huberdeau turned away from a check behind New Jersey's net, the skate of Devils center Sergey Kalinin appeared to come down on Huberdeau's left ankle. The Panthers have not offered an update on Huberdeau's status.
