DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Marques Sumner came off the bench to tally 15 points to lead Stetson to a 67-55 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday.
Christiaan Jones had 13 points and six rebounds for Stetson (6-21, 2-10 Atlantic Sun Conference). Abayomi Iyiola added 12 points and nine rebounds.
Dinero Mercurius had 13 points for the Eagles (11-17, 6-7). Christian Carlyle added 12 points. Schadrac Casimir had 12 points and six assists.
Liberty holds off Stetson 57-54 behind Cabbil’s 19 points
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Lovell Cabbil scored 19 points and Liberty held off Stetson 57-54 on Tuesday night to reach 20 wins the fastest in program history.
Caleb Homesley added 16 points and Scottie James had 10 for the Flames (20-5, 9-1), who remain second in Atlantic Sun Conference behind Lipscomb (18-4, 9-0).
Stetson outrebounded Liberty 42-31 but gave up 15 points off 16 turnovers and was outscored 32-20 in the paint.

DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Leo Goodman scored 17 points, leading five players in double-figure scoring as Stetson picked up its first conference win, beating Kennesaw State 92-75 on Saturday afternoon.
Abayomi Iyiola added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Hatters (5-19, 1-8 Atlantic Sun Conference), who snapped an eight-game losing streak. Jahlil Rawley and Marques Sumner had 14 points apiece and Kenny Aninye chipped in 10.
Mathews scores 31 as Lipscomb steamrolls Stetson 88-65

Holmes scores 34 points, leads SC Upstate over Stetson 91-79
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Deion Holmes scored 34 points to lead South Carolina Upstate to a 91-79 victory over Stetson on Thursday night.
SC Upstate (7-20, 2-8 Atlantic Sun Conference) snapped a five-game losing skid. Stetson (10-17, 2-8) has lost eight straight.
Holmes was 13 of 21 from the field. Malik Moore added 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting, and Ramel Thompkins made five 3-pointers and finished with 16 points for the Spartans.
Lipscomb rides trio of 20-point shooters past Stetson 85-82
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Garrison Matthews, Matt Rose and Rob Marberry each scored 20 points but a tight game came down to free throws in the last 49 seconds with Lipscomb making just enough to hold off Stetson 85-82 on Saturday and break a three-game losing streak.
Stetson came as close as 83-82 when Divine Myles scored one from the line with 14 seconds left. Kenny Cooper and Rose combined to make two of four foul shots, but the lead stood up when Stetson missed its last shot.
