ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. says an upstate New York TV meteorologist who uttered a racial slur while saying her father's name shouldn't have been fired.

NEW YORK (AP) — Megyn Kelly was absent from her NBC News morning show on Thursday following this week's controversy over her comments about blackface, amid indications that her time at the network could be ending after less than two years.
An NBC spokeswoman said that "given the circumstances," the network was airing repeats of "Megyn Kelly Today" on Thursday and Friday.
Campground from Maine to be featured on “Today” show
GEORGETOWN, Maine (AP) — NBC's "Today" show is going camping in Maine.
Owners of the Sagadahoc Bay Campground say that Al Roker will shoot part of the Tuesday program on the property in Georgetown. WCSH-TV reports that the live broadcast celebrates the outdoors with an RV trip.
The Sagadahoc Bay Campground includes about 70 campsites and cottages, and is run by Patricia and Eric Kosalka. The land has been in her husband's family since the late 1700s.

CLEVELAND (AP) — A longtime Cleveland television weather forecaster is wrapping up a 55-year career.
Dick Goddard planned to make his farewell on WJW-TV Tuesday night.
The 85-year-old Goddard began his career in 1961 at KYW before moving to WJW, where he has spent the past 50 years.
He announced his retirement in May but still plans to appear on-air as an advocate for animal welfare and adoption.
