It had been a while.

The third-year forward scored twice as the Winnipeg Jets beat Chicago 6-3 on Tuesday night to give the Blackhawks their eighth straight loss.
Connor nearly had another goal late in the second period when Chicago goalie Cam Ward made an arcing glove grab. He had other opportunities, too.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Ondrej Kase scored four minutes into the third period to lift the Anaheim Ducks over the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 on Wednesday night for their fifth straight win.

Strome, Perlini join Blackhawks after trade with Coyotes

DeBrincat’s hat trick lifts Blackhawks over Detroit 5-1
DETROIT (AP) — Alex DeBrincat has been one of the few bright spots this season for the Chicago Blackhawks.
The 20-year-old rookie had his second hat trick, and the Blackhawks chased Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard in the first period on their way to a 5-1 victory over the Red Wings on Thursday night. DeBrincat, a Farmington Hills native, also had an assist in his return to the area where he was born.
Detroit — Nearly two weeks ago the Red Wings visited Chicago and soundly defeated the Blackhawks, who seemed more concerned about their impending five days off for a bye week.
Thursday, the Red Wings returned the favor.
With the All-Star break beginning Friday, the Red Wings appeared mentally on vacation in a 5-1 loss to Chicago.
This one will sting for a while, until the hockey season resumes early next week.
Chicago figuring out how best to utilize DeBrincat
Chicago — One bright spot for the Blackhawks has been the play of rookie winger Alex DeBrincat (Farmington Hills).
The 20-year-old is proving NHL players come in all sizes. The 5-foot-7 DeBrincat has 12 goals, which ranks third on the Blackhawks, and 11 assists and has earned recent playing time on the top line with Jonathan Toews and Brandon Saad.
But since DeBrincat scored his first NHL hat trick Nov. 27 against the Ducks, he has only two goals.
Forsling’s goal in OT lifts Blackhawks over Sabres, 3-2
CHICAGO (AP) — Gustav Forsling scored on a screened shot from the blue line with 4.9 seconds left on the clock in overtime, and the Chicago Blackhawks rallied to beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 Friday night to snap a five-game losing streak.
Forsling, who had two assists in regulation, fired a low drive between Robin Lehner's pads with Buffalo defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen blocking the goalie's view.

He was rewarded with his first career hat trick — against one of his former teams, too.
Anisimov scored three times in the third period, Nick Schmaltz had three assists and the Chicago Blackhawks cooled off the New York Rangers with a 6-3 victory Wednesday night.
Saad scores in OT to give Blackhawks 4-3 win over Hurricanes
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Brandon Saad missed an early opportunity for the Chicago Blackhawks, but he rose to the occasion when it really counted.
Saad scored at 1:44 of overtime to give Chicago a 4-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. His penalty-shot attempt was stopped by Scott Darling less than two minutes into the game.
