Tyger Campbell is 3rd UCLA player to be sidelined by injury
LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA freshman guard Tyger Campbell has a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the upcoming season, making him the third player to be sidelined.
The school said Tuesday that Campbell got hurt in practice Sunday.
He averaged 15.5 points and 7.2 assists as a senior at La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana, while leading the team to a 23-4 record last season. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Tres Tinkle has 16 and Oregon State beats UCLA 69-63
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — A pair of back-to-back 3-pointers with under three minutes to go boosted the Beavers.
Tres Tinkle had 16 points and Oregon State snapped a two-game losing streak with a 69-63 victory over UCLA on Thursday night.
Stephen Thompson Jr. and Drew Eubanks each added 12 points for the Beavers (11-7, 3-3 Pac-12), who finished with all five starters in double figures.
Holiday scores 21 as UCLA tops Cal, 107-84
BERKELEY,Calif. (AP) — Aaron Holiday scored 21 points, Thomas Walsh added 19 more and UCLA defeated California 107-84 on Saturday.
The Bruins (12-4, 3-1 Pac-12) reached a season-high in points, picking up their fifth win in the past six games. They beat California (7-9, 1-2) for a fifth time in seven games.
All five UCLA starters reached double digits in scoring.
Kris Wilkes finished with 16 points, Prince Ali had 15 points and Alex Olesinski had 14.

Ali and Olesinski to redshirt season for UCLA basketball
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Sophomores Prince Ali and Alex Olesinski have decided to redshirt this season for No. 4 UCLA.
Neither player has appeared in a game this season, although both have resumed practicing for the Bruins. The team announced the news on Wednesday night.
Ali underwent surgery last summer to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. The guard from the Bronx averaged 3.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 29 games last season.
