Nilsson stopped 45 shots for his first shutout of the season and the Senators beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-0 on Thursday night.
"The shutout was a bonus," Nilsson said. "It was great to get back to winning again. Think it was great for the whole team to snap this losing streak."

MONTREAL (AP) — Jesperi Kotkaniemi needed just 54 games to etch his name in the Montreal Canadiens' record book.
He became the first 18-year-old in franchise history to score in three consecutive games as Montreal downed the slumping Anaheim Ducks 4-1 on Tuesday night.
The Finn's first-period goal helped the Canadiens improved to 7-1-1 in their last nine games.

The 36-year-old from Quebec won the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2015 and most recently played for the Ducks, but he didn't sign with a team after becoming a free agent last summer.

The teams announced the trade Wednesday night. The 28-year-old Del Zotto had a goal and three assists with the Canucks this season and has 54 goals and 161 assists over 10 NHL seasons.
