Tina Weymouth among those being inducted into Hall of Fame
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Rock musician Tina Weymouth, a founding member of the bands The Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, is among three women being inducted this year into the Connecticut Women's Hall of Fame.
Weymouth, who lives in Fairfield, will be honored on Monday along with Tony Award-winning actress Anika Noni Rose, a Bloomfield native, and ballerina Lucia Chase, who was from Waterbury, during a ceremony at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
Diana Ross, John Legend set for Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
NEW YORK (AP) — Diana Ross, John Legend, Bad Bunny, Kane Brown and Ella Mai will be among the stars celebrating at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
Macy's said Thursday that Martina McBride, Pentatonix, Rita Ora, Sugarland and Anika Noni Rose also will participate in the 92nd annual parade on Nov. 22.
The special will air at 9 a.m. EST on NBC's "Today" show.
