CAS strips Olympic bronze medal from Russian high jumper
LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) — Russian high jumper Anna Chicherova has lost an appeal against being stripped of her 2008 Olympic bronze medal for using an anabolic steroid.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport says it dismissed the appeal without giving details of the case.
An International Olympic Committee panel which first judged Chicherova last year noted that the steroid turinabol was "a doping substance commonly used in Russia" at the time.

High jumper Anna Chicherova's appeal is set for May 30-31 to challenge the IOC stripping her of a bronze medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the court said Wednesday.
