Gafford, Hall lead Arkansas past Ole Miss, 75-64
OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Arkansas coach Mike Anderson smiled, nodded his head affirmatively and used one his favorite words, "energy", to describe his Razorbacks.
"We've got some young energy," said Anderson, after the Razorbacks beat Mississippi 75-54 on Tuesday night.
"We're seeing the young players contribute, not just offensively, but with energy and it showed tonight."
Gafford’s tip-in lifts Arkansas past Oklahoma State, 66-65
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Daryl Macon's worst game in his two seasons at Arkansas came in a blowout loss at Oklahoma State a year ago.
The senior guard made amends for that lackluster performance on Saturday, and the Razorbacks returned the favor at home with a 66-65 win over the Cowboys.
Daniel Gafford put the finishing touch on the comeback win for Arkansas (15-6), tipping in Anton Beard's missed floater with 16.2 seconds to give the Razorbacks the one-point lead.
Homegrown stars shine as Arkansas beats Sam Houston State
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — It was a neutral-site game on the schedule, but Thursday's trip to central Arkansas brought three Razorbacks home — and the trio helped lift their team to a 90-56 over Sam Houston State in both teams' final game before conference play.
Daryl Macon, from Little Rock, scored 17 points and Anton Beard from North Little Rock added 16 as Arkansas (11-1) took advantage of the Bearkats' poor shooting for an easy victory.
Macon, Hannahs’ second half surge leads Arkansas over Bison
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Daryl Macon wasted little time making his presence felt Tuesday night against North Dakota State.
One of Mike Anderson's prized junior college recruits, Macon followed up a 23-point performance last Saturday against Texas with a team-high 15 points, knocking down three 3-pointers as Arkansas won its seventh straight game, 71-55.
Macon was one of four Razorbacks in double figures along with Anton Beard, Moses Kingsley and Dusty Hannahs, who each added 11.
