Jets waive/injured Antonio Allen, promote Freddie Bishop
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets have waived/injured safety Antonio Allen and signed linebacker Freddie Bishop from the practice squad.
Allen had been ruled out against San Francisco on Sunday with a concussion after being injured during New York's 41-10 loss to Indianapolis last Monday night.
Giacomini, McLendon among 6 Jets ruled out vs. 49ers
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets right tackle Breno Giacomini and defensive tackle Steve McLendon were among six players ruled out Friday for the game at San Francisco on Sunday.
Linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin, wide receiver Jalin Marshall, cornerback Antonio Allen and running back Khiry Robinson also will not play because of injuries. Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson is questionable to play with an injured ankle.

With just more than five minutes remaining in the game, Miami’s Kenyan Drake returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown. It turned out to be the decisive score in a 27-23 loss to the Dolphins that effectively ended the Jets' season. But it only happened because the Jets had to re-kick after Allen was called offside on the initial kickoff – the one where the Jets had tackled Dolphins returner Jakeem Grant deep in Miami territory.
Drake’s 96-yard kickoff return helps Miami beat Jets 27-23
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Rookie returner Kenyan Drake was delighted to find himself at the bottom of a pile of players, because they were teammates in the end zone.
Drake caused the celebration when he scored untouched on a 96-yard kickoff return with 5:15 left Sunday, the final swing in a seesaw game that helped the Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets, 27-23.
Jets waive TE Parker after failed physical, sign S Allen
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets waived tight end Brian Parker on Tuesday after he failed his physical and signed safety Antonio Allen.
Parker was acquired on waivers from Kansas City on Sunday. The Jets now have three tight ends on their roster: Kellen Davis, Brandon Bostick and Braeden Bowman.
