GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona has placed center Brad Richardson on injured reserve with an upper-body injury, running the Coyotes' list of missing regulars to six.
Richardson was injured in Arizona's 4-3 overtime victory over Vancouver on Thursday and the Coyotes said he is week to week.
He joins goalie Antti Raanta, forwards Nick Schmaltz, Michael Grabner, Christian Fischer and defenseman Jason Demers out with injuries.
Coyotes goalie Raanta out indefinitely
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Coyotes goalie Antti Raanta is out indefinitely and could miss the rest of the season with a lower-body injury.
Coyotes general manager John Chayka said on Sunday that Raanta had a procedure on the injury that revealed more damage than originally thought.
Raanta was placed on injured reserve this weekend, though Chayka said he could be out for the rest of the season.
Hill shines again as Coyotes beat Kings 2-1 for 4th straight
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Credit the Arizona Coyotes' four-game winning streak to rookie goaltender Adin Hill. Or maybe newly acquired center Nick Schmaltz.
Either way, the Coyotes are getting the best out of the two 22-year-olds and it is resulting in victories.
Schmaltz had a power-play goal, Hill made 25 saves and Arizona beat the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 on Tuesday night for its fourth straight win.
Hurricanes put Darling on waivers, Coyotes claim Pickard
On a busy day for goaltenders on the NHL waiver wire, the Carolina Hurricanes put Scott Darling on waivers and the Arizona Coyotes claimed Calvin Pickard from the Philadelphia Flyers.
Darling went on waivers Thursday with two years left on his contract beyond this season at a salary-cap hit of $4.15 million. Darling became Carolina's third goaltender behind Petr Mrazek and Curtis McIlhenney, who the Hurricanes claimed from the Maple Leafs before the season began.
Coach hit by puck, Flames rout Coyotes 6-1
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Noah Hanifin and Mark Jankowski each scored twice, former Coyotes goalie Mike Smith just missed his 38th career shutout and the Calgary Flames routed Arizona 6-1 on Sunday.
Smith, making his first start in five games, made 28 saves in his first win since Nov. 1.
Calgary led 6-0 before Clayton Keller scored for Arizona with 6:16 remaining.
Three of the Flames' goals were short-handed. The Coyotes have allowed five shorted-handed goals in their last two games.
Kuemper, Coyotes hold on for 2-1 win over Predators
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Darcy Kuemper might not have imagined that by the end of Thursday night, he'd have played in as many games as the goalie he backs up, the injured Antti Raanta.
Kuemper had a career-high 44 saves in his sixth straight game in net, and the Arizona Coyotes held off the Western Conference-leading Nashville Predators 2-1.
Kuemper kept a shutout going until Nick Bonino scored with 7:51 to play.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Christian Fischer celebrated his first career hat trick, and Arizona Coyotes teammate Derek Stepan will get a free dinner.
Stepan set up the 21-year-old Fischer on goals in all three periods Tuesday night as Arizona rallied to beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1. Stepan's huge role wasn't lost on Fischer, who picked up his first hat trick in his 94th NHL game. He'd never ever had a two-goal game before.
Hinostroza helps Coyotes beat Blackhawks 4-1
CHICAGO (AP) — The handful of former Chicago Blackhawks who play for the Arizona Coyotes were excited to see Corey Crawford back on the ice after an extended absence.
Vinnie Hinostroza and company also enjoyed skipping town with a win.
Hinostroza scored twice against his former team, Antti Raanta made 33 saves and the Coyotes spoiled Crawford's season debut, beating the sleepy Blackhawks 4-1 on Thursday night.
Arizona gets 1st win, defeats Anaheim in shootout
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Nick Cousins and company took a deep breath.
The first goal is on the board. The first win is in the books.
Cousins scored in the shootout, Antti Raanta made 23 saves and the Arizona Coyotes beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 on Wednesday night for their first win.
Dylan Strome and Brad Richardson scored for Arizona (1-2), which dropped its first 11 games last season.
"It's huge. Because of what happened last year it is a big relief," Cousins said. "I think it relieves some pressure."
Coyotes sign goaltender Antti Raanta to 3-year deal
Antti Raanta handled injuries, a scorpion infestation and a minor car wreck in his first year as a starting NHL goaltender.
Battling through all that earned him a three-year contract that makes him the Arizona Coyotes' franchise goalie for the foreseeable future. Raanta is scheduled to earn $12.75 million over the life of the deal that keeps him under contract through the 2020-21 season.

Coyotes sign goalie Darcy Kuemper to 2-year extension
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Coyotes signed Darcy Kuemper to a two-year contract extension Thursday, a day after acquiring the goalie from the Los Angeles Kings. Financial terms were not disclosed.
"The Coyotes have a young and talented team and a very bright future ahead," the 27-year-old Kuemper said in a team statement. "I'm excited to be a part of it and can't wait to contribute."
The Coyotes sent speedy forward Tobias Rieder and goalie Scott Wedgewood to Los Angeles in the trade.

The 27-year-old Kuemper was 10-1-3 with a 2.10 goals-against average in 19 games for the Kings this season. He's 51-35-17 with a 2.52 GAA in 104 career games with Minnesota and Los Angeles.
The 6-foot-5 Kuemper will join No. 1 goalie Antti Raanta as the netminding pair for the Coyotes.

He shouted at his teammates on the bench during a break in the action, and the Coyotes responded. They scored two goals and finished off a 5-2 win over the Canadiens Thursday night.
