Fordham beats Rhode Island 66-63 in OT
KINGSTON, R.I. (AP) — Nick Honor made a 3-pointer with 48 seconds left in overtime that gave Fordham a 66-63 victory over Rhode Island on Saturday.
Rhode Island then missed four 3-point attempts, two in the final seven seconds.
Fordham almost won the game at the end of regulation when Fatts Russell had the ball stolen by Jalen Cobb, who drove to the hoop but had the ball stripped by Russell as he went in for the layup.
Jesse Bunting registered 12 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for Fordham.
Grady scores 28 to lead Davidson past Fordham 79-69
NEW YORK (AP) — Kellan Grady had 28 points as Davidson beat Fordham 79-69 on Tuesday night.
Grady made 10 of 12 free throws.

AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — Antwon Portley matched his season high, scoring 22 points as Fordham cruised past Massachusetts 85-67 on Wednesday night, snapping a nine-game losing streak.
Portley was 8 of 13 from the field including six 3-pointers for the Rams (10-12, 1-8 Atlantic 10 Conference). Nick Honor added 18 points and six assists, Chuba Ohams had 13 points and five rebounds and Jesse Bunting chipped in 12 points.
La Salle hits 14 3s, holds off Fordham 73-71
NEW YORK (AP) — Pookie Powell made the last of La Salle's season-high 14 3-pointers with 35 seconds remaining to help the Explorers hold off Fordham for a 73-71 victory on Wednesday night.
Powell's jumper with 2:36 to play stretched the Explorers' lead to 70-62 with 2:36 left. Jalen Cobb scored on a layup and Nick Honor hit a 3-pointer to pull Fordham to 70-67 with 1:11 to play before Powell hit the decisive 3.
Saint Louis downs Fordham 63-60 behind Goodwin’s 20 points
NEW YORK (AP) — Jordan Goodwin scored 20 points, made six assists and grabbed nine rebounds and Saint Louis held off Fordham 63-60 on Tuesday night to win its fifth straight.
Javon Bess hit three 3s for 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Billikens (13-4, 4-0 Atlantic 10 Conference), who never trailed in building a 34-32 halftime lead.
Williams with 16 points leads Duquesne past Fordham 66-61
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. scored 16 points with 13 rebounds and Duquesne snapped a two-game skid, beating Fordham 66-61 on Wednesday night.
Marcus Weathers added 12 points for the Dukes (10-5, 1-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) and Amari Kelly had 11.
LIU Brooklyn rallies to beat Fordham 60-57
NEW YORK (AP) — Raiquan Clark scored 23 points and LIU Brooklyn used a late rally to get past Fordham for a 60-57 win in the final nonconference game for both teams on Sunday night.
The Blackbirds (6-6) took their first lead of the game since scoring the opening basket when Clark's pair of free throws made it 58-57 with 1:07 left in the second half.
Clark added a pair of free throws with 4.7 seconds left and the Rams' Antwon Portley missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer.
Portley, Honor lead Fordham past James Madison 75-48
NEW YORK (AP) — Antwon Portley and Nick Honor scored 13 points apiece and Fordham dominated the first half and cruised to a 75-48 victory over James Madison on Thursday night.
Portley and Honor both sank 5 of 10 shots with Portley hitting three 3-pointers and adding four assists. Honor, a freshman, has scored in double figures in all 12 games for the Rams (9-3). David Pekarek came off the bench to score 10 and grab five rebounds.
Fordham slows down Howard, wins 74-67
NEW YORK (AP) — Antwon Portley scored 22 points and Fordham slowed down high-scoring Howard 74-67 on Sunday.
Portley powered the Rams (8-3), making 5-of-9 3-pointers, grabbing seven rebounds and adding four assists and three steals. Jalen Cobb scored 13 points and freshman Nick Honor, who averages 18.3 points per game, added 11 points.
Howard (6-5), among the national leaders in scoring at 88 points per game, was held to 26 points in the first half and Fordham led 29-26 at the break.
NJIT downs Fordham 53-50 behind Cooks, Lewis

NEW YORK (AP) — Freshman guard Nick Honor scored a career-high 30 points going 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the 3-point line and Fordham upset Rutgers 78-70 on Saturday.
The two teams remained even for most of the first half; Rutgers outscored Fordham 12-7 in the last five minutes of the half and led 31-26 at intermission.

NEW YORK (AP) — Nick Honor hit four free throws in the final 18 seconds and Fordham held off Youngstown State, 67-61 on Saturday to earn back-to-back wins in the Rams Johnny Bach Classic tournament.
Fordham knocked off Florida International in the Friday opener, 83-77.
The Penguins held a 10-point lead going into the final minute of the first half, but Honor got to the basket for back-to-back layups to cut the lead to 34-28 lead at intermission.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Trevis Wyche scored 14 points and St. Peter's wrapped up a second-place finish in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Association and the No. 2 seed into the conference tournament by beating Canisius 72-65 in the regular season finale for both schools Sunday.
