It was the National League wild-card game, and the Arizona Diamondbacks emerged with an 11-8 victory in a game that featured 30 hits, 17 by Arizona. The Diamondbacks had four triples, two by Ketel Marte, a crucial one late by A.J. Pollock and a highly unexpected one, driving in two runs, from reliever Archie Bradley.
"That game will linger in my memory as long as I'm alive," Bradley said.
D-backs face decisions at closer, middle infield
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — With two weeks left of spring training, the Arizona Diamondbacks still are grappling with a pair of significant unresolved issues.
One, who is the closer? Two, how to sort out the crowd at middle infield?
There is still plenty of time to work things out, manager Torey Lovullo said.
"I feel like it's still a little bit too early," he said, "but everybody is paying a lot of attention to some very key spots and you hit on a couple of them."
The bullpen cart is back in the big leagues.
Nearly a quarter-century since relievers stopped catching rides to the mound, the Arizona Diamondbacks said Tuesday they will use a buggy — topped by the requisite oversized team cap — to transport pitchers from both bullpens at Chase Field.

Bradley, whose 2015 season was limited after he took a line drive off his face in April, held the Padres to two runs on seven hits and will finish 8-9 while going 4-1 over his last seven starts.
