2 juveniles killed when vehicle struck by train in Arkansas
CORNING, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State Police say two juvenile girls were killed when the vehicle they were in was struck by a train in northeast Arkansas.
A state police report says the two were eastbound on a county road in Clay County near Corning on Friday when the girl who was driving pulled into the path of a northbound train.

TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — Officials say a 73-year-old woman from Arizona was fatally struck after leaving an Arkansas welcome center and walking into traffic.
Arkansas State Police say Elizabeth Karsner of Tucson was fatally struck early Sunday morning on Interstate 30 in Texarkana after leaving the welcome center where she and her husband had stopped to rest.

A state police statement says Trumann Police Chief Chad Henson suffered non-life threatening wounds and is hospitalized after the Friday morning shooting that killed Johnny Kelley.
State police say Henson was contacted by Kelley, who asked him come to his home near Trumann, and when Henson approached the residence, Kelley shot Henson, who returned fire.
