Shelley, Shyne help Utah beat Oregon 32-25
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Jason Shelley may be a freshman and undersized for a major college quarterback, but he doesn't lack confidence.
"We know what we can do. We know we can play. We're here for a reason," Shelley said. "We couldn't wait to prove it."

Running back Armand Shyne on comeback trail at Utah
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — For the second straight year, Utes running back Armand Shyne has entered spring camp trying to bounce back from a major injury.
But he's not letting it deter him from trying to carve out a major role in Utah's backfield.
Shyne redshirted last season after breaking his left arm in fall camp. Two years ago, a knee injury sidelined him after only five games.
Going through the rehabilitation process a second time has taught the redshirt junior what it takes to keep moving forward.
Utah’s Zack Moss named No. 1 RB after injury to Armand Shyne
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Sophomore Zack Moss is officially the No. 1 running back for the Utah Utes after a tight camp competition with Armand Shyne ended with a long-term injury to Shyne.
The junior went down during a team period Saturday in what coach Kyle Whittingham called a fluke. Utah does not typically disclose details of injuries that are not season-ending.
That leaves the 5-foot-10, 210-pound Moss of Hialeah Gardens, Florida, as the successor to last year's 1,400-yard rusher, Joe Williams.

Utah hurting coming into Oregon State game
CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Injuries have begun to mount for No. 21 Utah — so much so that coach Kyle Whittingham was rightfully dramatic about the situation this week.
"This is the worst I can remember, and I've been here a lot of years," he said.
The Utes (5-1, 2-1 Pac-12) travel to Corvallis for Saturday's game against Oregon State (2-3, 1-1) with a depleted roster, especially at running back. Utah lost sophomore Armand Shyne for the season during a 36-23 victory over Arizona last Saturday.
