Jackson State fires Hughes after less than 3 seasons
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Jackson State has fired football coach Tony Hughes after less than three seasons.
The school announced the move after losing to rival Southern 41-7 on Saturday. Defensive coordinator John Hendrick will be the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
TORONTO (AP) — Ashley Robinson saw Faisal Hussain almost every day when she walked her dog on the winding sidewalk near her high-rise apartment building in Toronto.

Amazon wants to hire more than 1,000 workers in San Antonio and Central Texas as it adds more than 50,000 new employees to staff its distribution centers nationwide.
The Seattle-based e-commerce giant is looking to hire full-time and part-time warehouse workers at its “sortation” center and Prime Now facility in San Antonio and at its distribution centers in Schertz and San Marcos, company spokeswoman Ashley Robinson said in an email.
Northwest Houston continues to see job expansion as new developments abound in the region.
Amazon is hiring 2,500 full-time employees to staff its first distribution center in Houston, now under construction in the Pinto Business Park at the southwest corner of Interstate 45 and Beltway 8.
Amazon sorting center coming to Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Internet retailer Amazon has confirmed that it's building a sorting center in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/2pCXu4s ) reports that work is underway on the $3 million, 300,000-square-foot facility.
Amazon spokeswoman Ashley Robinson says customers in Oklahoma should notice improved delivery times once the center opens. She says the company hopes to have the center open before the holiday season.
