The Clemson Tigers (8-1, 6-1 ACC) have made it to the point in the season they had hoped for -- championship season.
This week’s game against the Florida State Seminoles (3-5, 3-4 ACC) marks the first time this season the Tigers can break out their orange pants because will play for the Atlantic Division championship Saturday (3:30 p.m., ESPN).
No. 6 Clemson’s big weekend gets it back in title chase
CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — One big weekend trumped two weeks of worry for No. 6 Clemson and got the Tigers back in the national championship pictures.
Clemson (7-1, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) got about everything it needed Saturday with a dominating bounce-back win over Georgia Tech, a confident, healthy return from injured quarterback Kelly Bryant and a couple of timely losses from undefeated teams ranked above the Tigers.

Lincoln storyteller’s performance depicts WWII resistance fighters
ATLANTIC, IA - An actress and storyteller from eastern Nebraska has created an unusual one-woman show called “Voices From The Resistance.”
In the performance, Pippa White of Lincoln portrays real people who were resistance fighters during World War Two in France, Germany, Norway and Hungary.
While she spotlights the underground movement to defeat Hitler, White says she made a careful decision not to depict the Holocaust.

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Four years ago, Team Europe celebrated the most decisive win in Solheim Cup history — on American soil, no less.
Captain Annika Sorenstam and her team will likely spend their trip back across the Atlantic wondering when they'll be ready to compete with the U.S. again.
Lexi Thompson, 22, and her resurgent U.S. teammates finished off their most-decisive Solheim Cup victory in more than 20 years, beating Europe 16 1/2-11 1/2 on Sunday at Des Moines Golf and Country Club.

DURHAM, England -- When I first visited England to cover a British election 20 years ago this month, there were striking similarities between British and American politics. In Britain, Tony Blair's Labour Party was about to sweep to a landslide victory after 18 years of Conservative Party government, promising a third way between the free market policies of Margaret Thatcher and the socialist policies of traditional Labour. Voters and politicians seemed filled with exhilaration at the prospect...
