Bengals add CB Russell with secondary depleted by injuries
CINCINNATI (AP) — With their secondary depleted by injuries, the Bengals signed cornerback KeiVarae Russell off the practice squad Thursday for an upcoming game in Kansas City.
Russell was the Chiefs' third-round pick in 2016. He's played in 13 games for Cincinnati over the past two seasons. The Bengals needed another cornerback with Darqueze Dennard sidelined by a shoulder injury suffered during a 28-21 loss to the Steelers.

Florida State’s Jalen Wilkerson leaving early for NFL draft
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Jalen Wilkerson is the sixth Florida State player to announce he is leaving early to enter the NFL draft.
The 6-foot-4, 283-pound defensive lineman had two years of eligibility remaining after completing his redshirt sophomore season. He started only one game this past season but played in all 13, logging 19 tackles, including six tackles for loss.
Florida State’s McFadden, Tate leaving early for NFL draft
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State cornerback Tarvarus McFadden and wide receiver Auden Tates are entering NFL draft.
McFadden made his announcement via a statement released by the university. He was a first-team selection to the AP Preseason All-America team after having eight interceptions in 2016, but his production dropped off this season. He had no interceptions but his 10 passes defended were second on the team.

Florida State QB Francois trying to help team despite injury
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Injured Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois has had to watch from the sidelines as the Seminoles have staggered to their worst start in 41 years.
The sophomore suffered a season-ending knee injury during a 24-7 loss to Alabama on Sept. 2. The pain he felt when he was injured may be gone, but Francois says it hurts to see his teammates struggle.
Florida State beats Duke 17-10 on Akers’ late TD
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Freshman Cam Akers has been tantalizingly close to shaking free for a long touchdown run. Florida State has long believed it's on the verge of playing like an elite team again.
Finally, and at the perfect time, Akers broke through on Saturday.
Maybe the Seminoles' entire team did, too.
Akers ran 42 yards for the go-ahead touchdown with 8:23 to play, and Florida State held on to beat Duke 17-10.
Rosier rallies No. 13 Miami to 24-20 win over Florida State
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — With 1:24 remaining, it appeared Florida State had rallied again in the fourth quarter to beat No. 13 Miami and extend its winning streak over its Sunshine state rival.
Malik Rosier and the Hurricanes weren't quite done, though.
The junior drove Miami 75 yards in nine plays, throwing a 23-yard touchdown pass to Darrell Langham with 6 seconds left and Miami beat Florida State 24-20 on Saturday to end a seven-game losing streak in the series.
It came down to the final minute, when Florida State made one more play than Wake Forest in a 26-19 victory in front of a sellout crowd of 31,588 on Saturday at BB&T Field.
James Blackman’s 40-yard touchdown pass to a well-covered Auden Tate with 53 seconds left was the game-winning score, derailing Wake Forest’s unbeaten start and giving the Seminoles their first win of the season.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Florida State's young quarterback had struggled much of the day. And the winless Seminoles — dinged up with injuries and struggling to keep Wake Forest's defensive front out of the backfield — were on the edge of adding to a month's worth of misery.
Instead, they finally figured a way out.

Florida State’s Fisher expects Tate, Thomas to play Saturday
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says he expects to have a pair of injured starters available for Saturday's game at Wake Forest.
Wide receiver Auden Tate and linebacker Matthew Thomas were injured last week in a loss to North Carolina State and were considered "day-to-day" by Fisher at the beginning of the week. Both players though returned to practice on Tuesday and practiced the rest of the week according to Fisher.
Cook, Francois lead No. 20 Florida State past Boston College
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Dalvin Cook ran for 108 yards and Deondre Francois tied a season high with three touchdown passes to help No. 20 Florida State rout Boston College 45-7 on Friday night.
Cook became only the second Seminoles back to go over 100 yards in 15 meetings against the Eagles and the first since Ricky Williams had 109 yards in 1980.
The junior, who also had a touchdown on 18 carries, moved within 19 yards of breaking Warrick Dunn's school career mark of 3,959 yards.
No. 12 Florida State without Wilson against No. 3 Clemson
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — No. 12 Florida State will be without wide receiver Jesus "Bobo" Wilson on Saturday against third-ranked Clemson.
Wilson injured his right foot during the first half of the Seminoles' win over Wake Forest on Oct. 15. Coach Jimbo Fisher said Thursday that Wilson had not practiced all week.
