Oklahoma QB Austin Kendall enters transfer portal
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma backup quarterback Austin Kendall has entered the NCAA transfer database portal.
A university spokesperson confirmed Kendall's entry Friday.
Other schools can now contact Kendall. He has already graduated, so he would be eligible to play immediately.
No. 6 Oklahoma QB Murray doesn’t start vs. Baylor
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray didn't start against Baylor on Saturday for the sixth-ranked Sooners. But he quickly made an impact.
He entered on the second possession and threw a 9-yard touchdown to Lee Morris with his first pass for a 7-0 lead at 12:58 in the first quarter.
Murray, considered by many to be a Heisman candidate, was replaced by Austin Kendall. Murray won the starting job against Kendall during fall practice.
Oklahoma coach Riley ready to build on success in 2nd year

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley said he's excited quarterback Kyler Murray will remain with the Sooners in the fall, despite the Oakland A's drafting the outfielder ninth in the Major League Baseball Draft on Monday.
Riley congratulated Murray in a statement Tuesday and said he's "looking forward to getting him back around our team this summer." Riley said the two had previously discussed Murray's baseball prospects and he expected Murray to stay at Oklahoma.

Murray was the backup last season while Kendall redshirted. Based on Murray's outstanding work last season, it seemed he was the clear front-runner. Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley said that's not the case.

Oklahoma backup QB Chris Robison dismissed
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Oklahoma backup quarterback Chris Robison has been dismissed from the program for violating team rules.
Coach Lincoln Riley made the announcement in a news release on Wednesday. He did not specify which rule was broken.
Robison, rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout, participated in spring practice after enrolling at Oklahoma in January. He completed 3 of 5 passes for 49 yards in the spring game, then was arrested for public intoxication hours later.
