Giants TE Evan Engram leaves with concussion
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants starting tight end Evan Engram was forced to leave Friday's preseason game against the Jets with a concussion.
Engram was hurt with 5:21 left in the second quarter when he was sandwiched by linebackers Darron Lee and Avery Williamson after catching a 6-yard pass at the Jets 24. The ball came loose at the end of the play and was ruled a fumble, but the call was overturned after a video review.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Linebacker Rashaan Evans couldn't be happier after the Tennessee Titans drafted him with the No. 22 pick, a selection predicted by his friend Derrick Henry.
The former Alabama teammates had discussed how much they wanted to play together in the NFL. Henry, a Heisman Trophy winner at Alabama in 2015, called Evans once the pick was in.
"Everything worked out as we talked about," Evans said.
NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Jets have signed linebacker Avery Williamson to a three-year contract worth $22.5 million.
Williamson spent his first four NFL seasons with Tennessee and led the Titans in tackles in two of those years.
It appears the 26-year-old Williamson will be a replacement at inside linebacker for Demario Davis, who led the Jets in tackles last season with a career season but is 29 and a free agent.

Tennessee puts pressure on Colts in 20-16 victory
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Tennessee put more pressure on Indianapolis than it could handle Sunday.
It's happened a lot to the Colts lately.
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett spent most of the day getting up from the turf. The Titans forced a key turnover late in the third quarter and overpowered the Colts in the fourth to rally from a 10-point deficit to a 20-16 victory.
Titans focus on AFC South leaders Jacksonville after loss
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Tennessee Titans have all the incentive necessary to forget a disappointing loss. Next up are the Jacksonville Jaguars, who sit atop the AFC South.
That's the spot the Titans want.
And they stumbled out the gate in Week 1 after finishing a game behind the Houston Texans in the division last season. The Titans haven't won the AFC South since 2008, — which happens to also be the last time they swept the Jaguars and reached the playoffs.
Aqib Talib avoids fine from NFL over skirmish with Douglas
The NFL declined to fine anybody involved in the Harry Douglas-Aqib Talib sideline skirmish last weekend.
The Broncos cornerback tussled with the Titans receiver one play after Douglas' low block on cornerback Chris Harris Jr. that reverberated throughout the league.
