LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Kimbal Mackenzie and Avi Toomer scored 14 points apiece and Bucknell defeated Navy 69-57 on Wednesday night.
Mackenzie hit two 3-pointers in the first 10 minutes, the second one igniting a 14-3 run by the Bison (13-8, 7-2 Patriot League). Bucknell went on to outshoot Navy 46 percent to 24 percent in the first half and lead 36-21 at halftime.
Sotos hits late FTs; Bucknell edges Loyola of Maryland 71-68
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Jimmy Sotos made three free throws with 5.8 seconds left to give Bucknell a 71-68 victory over Loyola of Maryland on Wednesday night.
Loyola tied the game with 35 second remaining to cap a 10-0 run. Andrew Kostecka converted a 3-point play, Jaylin Andrews and Isaiah Hart each hit a 3-pointer, and KaVaughn Scott split a pair of free throws during the stretch. Chuck Champion missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
Sestina scores 32 as Bucknell beats Holy Cross 93-78
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nate Sestina scored a career-high 32 points on 11-of-11 shooting, Kimbal Mackenzie topped the 1,000-point plateau, and Bucknell beat Holy Cross 93-78 Monday night for its third consecutive win.
Mackenzie, who finished with 17 points, hit a 3-pointer with 7:21 left in the first half that gave him 1,001 career points and pushed Bucknell's lead to 38-19. Avi Toomer added 13 points and Jimmy Sotos scored 10 with eight assists for the Bison (10-7, 4-1 Patriot League).

Nate Sestina had 15 points and nine rebounds for Bucknell (8-7, 2-1 Patriot League), which earned its fourth straight home victory. Avi Toomer added 12 points. Jimmy Sotos had six assists for the hosts.
After falling behind 40-36 at the half, Bucknell outscored Colgate 48-41 in the second half to earn the 3-point victory.
Last-second basket caps Bucknell charge to defeat Army 64-63
WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Avi Toomer's layup with 1.6 seconds left in the game completed a ferocious comeback with Bucknell climbing out of a 26-point hole in the second half to clip Army 64-63 in the Patriot League opener for both teams Wednesday night.
And for good measure, Toomer blocked Army's final shot, securing the win.
No. 15 Ohio State survives gritty Bucknell to win 73-71
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Bucknell saw its chance but couldn't quite get there.
Trailing No. 15 Ohio State by two points, the Bison had the ball after a Buckeyes turnover with 14 seconds left. But a 3-point shot by Bruce Moore bounced off the front of the rim. Ohio State rebounded and held on for a 73-71 victory Saturday.
Bucknell beats Monmouth 65-43 behind Sestina, Toomer
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nate Sestina scored 16 points with 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season and Bucknell overcame a cold start to beat Monmouth 65-43 on Saturday for the Hawks' ninth straight loss.
Avi Toomer scored a career-high 17 points with three 3-pointers and four steals and Jimmy Sotos added 10 points and seven assists for the Bison (3-3), who made 11 of 34 3-pointers and held the Hawks to 33 percent shooting. Kimbal Mackenzie scored nine points.

(AP) — Avi Toomer forced a tie in regulation, broke it to begin overtime and corralled the rebound of a missed 3-pointer as time expired in overtime, preserving Bucknell's 88-85 victory over Saint Bonaventure Wednesday in a season-opening game that pitted two teams from last season's NCAA Tournament.
Toomer scored nine points, Kimbal Mackenzie led the Bison with 28 points as Bucknell erased a 13-point deficit in the final 12 minutes to forge a 71-71 tie to end regulation.

HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) — Stephen Brown matched his career high with 21 points and Bucknell avoided back-to-back losses for the first time this season with an 83-69 victory over Colgate on Saturday.
Zach Thomas added 15 points, Kimbal Mackenzie 14 and Nana Foulland 13 points and 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double this season while Bruce Moore had 10 points for the Bison (13-6, 5-1), who were coming off their first Patriot League loss, against Lehigh.

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nana Foulland had 20 points and 12 rebounds, Zach Thomas added 19 points and Bucknell held off Army 84-76 on Monday night.
The Bison (10-5, 2-0 Patriot League), led by a dozen at halftime, 16 with 14:27 to play and 10 with 5:27 to go. But the Black Knights (6-8, 0-2) couldn't get closer than six after a John Emezie layup with 3:08 to play. Foulland answered with a free throw and Army came up empty on two possessions before Thomas made a free throw.
