BOSTON (AP) — The two newest Democratic members of Congress from Massachusetts have received their first committee assignments.
Rep. Lori Trahan, who represents the 3rd Congressional district, was named Tuesday to the House Committee on Education and Labor. She is the only Massachusetts representative serving on the committee.
Trahan said the post will help her push "policies that matter to hardworking families."
