COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Three-time Olympic champion Misty May-Treanor is being honored as an All-Time Great Female Beach Player by the USA Volleyball Hall of Fame.
The annual award will be presented at the May 22 induction banquet in Columbus, Ohio.

BULLHEAD CITY — The No. 7-seeded Lady T-birds lost 5-0 to the host No. 2-seeded Valley Christian High School Lady Trojans in the first round of the 2018 Arizona Interscholatic Association Beach Volleyball Division II State Championship on Wednesday evening.

USA Volleyball announced today that Nebraska volleyball assistant coach Tyler Hildebrand has accepted a new position with USA Volleyball and will leave the Huskers for his new role at the end of NU’s beach volleyball season.
Hildebrand has been hired by USA Volleyball to be the director of coaching for its Beach National Team Program. He came to Nebraska last February and in his first season helped the Huskers win the NCAA Championship and repeat as Big Ten Champions.

Amazon is going shopping for TV content, and it's putting some beach volleyball in its cart.
The internet retail giant has an agreement with the AVP tour to livestream almost every match from every tournament for the next three summers. TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian media say authorities have allowed female spectators at a beach volleyball tournament after organizers threatened to halt the event in protest.
The semi-official ISNA news agency reported that women were allowed into the stadium Wednesday at the start of the four-day international tournament on Kish island.
It says authorities backtracked after the international volleyball federation, known as FIVB, threatened to suspend the event in protest.
