PARIS (AP) — Struggling Monaco fired vice president Vadim Vasilyev on Thursday, the latest shakeup in a difficult season which has seen two coaches sacked and one of them re-hired.
Club president Dmitry Rybolovlev, who rarely makes public comments, explained the decision in a statement.
Man City coach Guardiola confused over Mendy’s whereabouts
MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has created confusion over his whereabouts by claiming he was in Hong Kong.
Currently sidelined with a knee injury, Mendy posted a video on Instagram in which he tagged himself as being at Hong Kong International Airport.
Mendy had been in Barcelona on Thursday for assessment on his left knee following surgery in November.

With Benjamin Mendy facing another long spell out with a knee injury, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is going to have to get creative again at left back.
Guardiola said Friday that Mendy would be out for up to three months after undergoing an operation on a meniscus problem during the international break.
It leaves the Premier League leaders without a natural left back for one of the busiest parts of the season, including the hectic period over Christmas.
