Jets place RT Brandon Shell on IR with knee injury
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — The New York Jets placed right tackle Brandon Shell on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday with a knee injury.
Shell was hurt last Saturday in the Jets' loss to Houston. He was carted off the field in the third quarter after left guard Spencer Long rolled into his left leg. Shell immediately grabbed at his knee as trainers ran onto the field to check on him.
Texans RB Miller leaves game, Jets OT Shell carted off
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Houston Texans running back Lamar Miller left the game against the New York Jets on Saturday night with an ankle injury and was questionable to return.
Miller was injured early in the first quarter Saturday when he went down after a 1-yard run. He tried to get up and walk it off before going back down to the turf and being attended to by trainers.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Kelvin Beachum might be the NFL's most fascinating man.
He's certainly one of the busiest.
Beachum is a philanthropist, humanitarian, small-business investor and a big-time tech geek. Oh, and he's also responsible for protecting the blind side of the New York Jets' 21-year-old franchise quarterback.

Shell was injured while making a tackle on Keenan Allen's interception of Bryce Petty's Hail Mary toss that ended the first half of New York's 14-7 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last Sunday.
Benjamin inactive for Bills, Claiborne out for Jets
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Buffalo Bills newly acquired wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin will not play against the New York Jets.
Benjamin warmed up with quarterback Tyrod Taylor about two hours before kickoff Thursday night, but was among the Bills' inactives after being acquired from Carolina on Tuesday for third- and seventh-round draft picks.
Jets’ Skrine cleared; Claiborne, Wilkerson questionable
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets cornerback Buster Skrine has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and will be available to play against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.
Skrine sat out last Sunday against Atlanta after being injured at Miami the previous week.
Jets starters Skrine, Shell out vs. Falcons with injuries
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets starting cornerback Buster Skrine and right tackle Brandon Shell won't play against the Atlanta Falcons because of injuries.
Skrine suffered a concussion last week at Miami and has been in the league's protocol for head injuries. He sat out practice all week, and coach Todd Bowles ruled him out Friday.

Jets’ Mangold doubtful; Clady, Giacomini questionable
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets center Nick Mangold is doubtful to play Sunday at Miami because of a sprained ankle that also sidelined him last weekend.
Mangold, who has missed just five games in his NFL career, will likely be replaced again by Wesley Johnson.
Jets’ Harris, Cardinals’ Iupati inactive
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — New York Jets inside linebacker David Harris and Arizona Cardinals left guard Mike Iupati are inactive for Monday night's game.
Harris has a hamstring injury and Iupati is sidelined with a sprained ankle.
Also inactive for the Jets were quarterback Christian Hackenberg, quarterback Bryce Petty, wide receiver Jeremy Butler, tackle Brandon Shell and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who had been listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
