Horvat scores in overtime, Canucks top Bruins 2-1
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Vancouver Canucks coach Travis Green wanted his two top forwards off the ice for a line change. Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser didn't listen, and Green was glad.
The pair teamed up to score the game-winning goal in overtime.
Horvat scored at 3:12 of the extra period, off an assist from Boeser, and the Canucks edged the Boston Bruins 2-1 on Saturday night.
"(I was) screaming at them to change then telling them great job after the goal," Green said.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Vancouver coach Travis Green did a double take when he saw Alex Biega doing postgame TV interviews.
Biega got his first goal in over three years, Brandon Sutter had two goals and an assist and the Canucks beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 on Tuesday night.
"You don't see that a lot with the Bulldog being interviewed after his game-winner, so I had to get a picture of it," Green said about Biega with a smile.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — For the second consecutive game, the Vegas Golden Knights looked like the same team that was so dominant for much of the season.
Jonathan Marchessault scored his 23rd goal and the Pacific Division leaders defeated Vancouver 4-1 on Tuesday night to hand the slumping Canucks their seventh straight loss.
Sutter gets overtime winner, Canucks beat Wild 3-2
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Brandon Sutter made a triumphant return to the Vancouver Canucks lineup.
Back after missing 21 games with a lower body injury, Sutter scored 2:50 into overtime to lift Vancouver to a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Sunday night.
Sutter took a pass from Alexander Edler just inside the Wild blue line, cut to the inside against Jonas Brodin and beat Devan Dubnyk on the stick side.

Boeser scores twice, leads Canucks past Penguins
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Vancouver Cancuks rookie Brock Boeser is enjoying a fast start to his career, while embattled defenseman Derrick Pouliot is just happy to have a change of scenery.
Boeser scored two more goals and Pouliot netted the game-winner against his former team as the Canucks defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 on Wednesday night.
Giroux’s shootout goal leads Flyers over Canucks 5-4
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Flyers overcame a plethora of penalties, a goalie change and some shoddy defense to pick up a much-needed victory.
Claude Giroux scored the only goal in the shootout to lift the Flyers to a 5-4 win over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.
Travis Konecny, Sean Couturier, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Brayden Schenn scored in regulation for the Flyers, who won for just the third time in their last 10 games.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Ben Hutton had a number of thoughts in his head as he snaked his way toward Arizona Coyotes goalie Louis Domingue.
Hutton scored on a penalty shot at 2:34 of overtime to lift the Vancouver Canucks to a 3-2 victory over the Coyotes on Thursday night.
"There was a lot going through my mind," Hutton said. "I knew we needed this win."
Granlund scores in OT, Canucks rally to beat Stars 5-4
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — In their first game back after a tough six-game road trip, the Vancouver Canucks looked like a team hoping to wipe away some bad memories.
Troy Stecher tied it with 1:40 left in the third period and Markus Granlund scored in overtime, helping Vancouver rally to beat the Dallas Stars 5-4 on Sunday.

Sutter beat goalie Eddie Lack on a quick shot on a 2-on-1 run rush for the Canucks' second straight comeback win.
