DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Austin Hill blocked his way to his first career Truck Series victory in a crash-marred season-opener Friday night at Daytona International Speedway.
With only nine of the 32 trucks still running in the second overtime, Hill had to block Grant Enfinger for most of the final lap. He needed a last big, bold maneuver to hold off Enfinger as they rushed toward the checkered flag.

Johnny Sauter wins Martinsville for series-best 4th time
MARTINSVILLE, Va. (AP) — Johnny Sauter will again race for the Truck Series championship, getting an automatic berth into the finals by winning Saturday at Martinsville Speedway.
Sauter won for the fourth time in a truck at Martinsville. This win, in the opening race of the series' round of six, was good for one of the four slots in the Nov. 16 season finale. It gave the Sauter the most victories in the series at the Virginia track.

Moffitt edged Sauter — the leader the previous 12 laps — by 0.025 seconds.
"Pretty amazing this little team's gone to Victory Lane four times this year," Moffitt said. "The whole last however- many laps I was behind (Sauter), I would get to him, but I would push him with that air bubble between our bumpers.

MADISON, Ill. (AP) — Justin Haley won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Saturday night at Gateway Motorsports Park for his first career victory, pulling away on a wild last restart.
"I've been dreaming about this day since I was a little kid," Haley said.
The 19-year-old Haley, from Winamac, Indiana, took the lead when Kyle Busch Motorsports teammates Noah Gragson and Todd Gilliland made contact racing for the lead on a restart with seven laps to go.

CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — Johnny Sauter raced to his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory of the season Friday night, winning for the first time in his career at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Sauter led a restart with 10 to go, quickly built a large lead and cruised to his 20th career victory. Brett Moffitt and Justin Haley were battling for second, but made contact that nearly sent Haley into the wall.
"We won at Charlotte!" Sauter said on the radio. "This is the biggest of my life."
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Kyle Busch won his hometown NASCAR Truck race Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for his 50th series victory.
Busch took advantage when Brett Moffitt, last week's winner in Atlanta, went sideways with 26 laps left. Busch, who had been fighting to overtake Moffitt in the final stage, took control on a restart with 12 laps to go.
Moffitt pushed Busch on the final laps, but Busch held off Moffitt — who got caught up in lapped traffic with less than five laps left.

HAMPTON, Ga. (AP) — Kyle Busch lost the lead — and his left rear tire — on a late pit stop, opening the way for Brett Moffitt's improbable win Saturday in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Busch was leading when Josh Reaume hit the wall with six laps to go. The caution presented an opportunity for late visits to the pits for the leaders.
Moffitt wins Trucks race with final-lap pass
BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) — Brett Moffitt isn't eligible for the season-ending Chase in the NASCAR Truck Series.
Teammate Timothy Peters is, but on the final lap at Michigan International Speedway, that didn't much matter.
"We just had such a run — we were rolling five to 10 miles an hour faster than them getting into Turn 1," Moffitt said. "I knew if there was room to get to the outside, I didn't care if it was going to stick or not. I'm here to win races."
