Ritchie, Comeau, Faksa score, Stars beat 1st-place Jets 4-2
DALLAS (AP) — Jamie Benn's new linemates, Blake Comeau and Radek Faksa, were surprising goal scorers for Dallas on Saturday night.
Comeau, Faksa and Brett Ritchie scored their first goals of the new year and the Stars defeated the Central Division-leading Winnipeg Jets 4-2.
"We really didn't do anything special out there," said Benn, the Stars' captain. "We just put it in the corners and tried to hit guys and work our butts off. When you do that, good things happen."
Heiskanen, Ritchie score in 3rd, Stars beat Sharks 3-2
DALLAS (AP) — Ben Bishop bought enough time for Dallas to rally for its fourth consecutive victory.
Bishop made a season-high 41 saves and Miro Heiskanen and Brett Ritchie scored in the third period, sending the Stars to a 3-2 win over the San Jose Sharks on Friday night.
"Ben Bishop's the reason why we won that game," coach Jim Montgomery said. "We were bad in the first, and thank God, Ben Bishop wasn't."

Benn scored his fifth goal in six games, and the Stars beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-1 on Monday night.
"Jamie Benn has been phenomenal all year," Stars coach Jim Montgomery said. "It's getting close to 10 games now that he's winning so many battles. When your best players are your hardest workers you start to see the team build."
Seguin, Stars send Devils to 4th straight loss with 4-3 win
DALLAS (AP) — Tyler Seguin's short-handed goal was more than just his first in the NHL.
The high-scoring Dallas forward said it was the first one of his life, which makes sense because Seguin said this season is the first time in his career he's part of the penalty-kill unit.
Seguin's short-handed tally was his team-leading 20th, Alexander Radulov had a goal and two assists and the Stars beat the New Jersey Devils 4-3 on Thursday night.
Seguin scores twice, Stars beat Avalanche 7-2
DENVER (AP) — Tyler Seguin got the Dallas Stars going, and plenty of his teammates joined in.
Seguin scored two early goals and the Stars beat the Colorado Avalanche 7-2 on Sunday night for their fifth consecutive victory.
DALLAS (AP) — The Dallas Stars have re-signed forward Brett Ritchie to a $3.5 million, two-year contract.
Ritchie had 16 goals and eight assists in 78 games last season, with a team-best rating of plus-11. The 24-year-old right winger has appeared in 117 games over three seasons with the Stars and played in two games during the 2016 playoffs.
A second-round draft pick by Dallas in 2011, Ritchie also has experience with Canadian junior national teams.
DALLAS (AP) — Already eliminated from playoff contention, the Dallas Stars and Arizona Coyotes got glimpses of some of their potential future stars.
Julius Honka scored his first NHL goal 3:45 into overtime, and the Dallas Stars beat the Arizona Coyotes 3-2 on Tuesday night.
Skating with rookies Honka and Gemel Smith, Jason Spezza sent a cross-ice pass to Honka in the right faceoff circle, and his shot went high into the net past Arizona goalie Mike Smith.

DALLAS (AP) — Kari Lehtonen made 40 saves and five Dallas players scored in the first period to send the Stars past the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3 on Tuesday night.
Dallas took a 3-0 lead on goals by Devin Shore, Radek Faksa and Lauri Korpikoski. After Korpikoski's goal at 11:18, Curtis McElhinney replaced Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen.
Tyler Bozak scored on a power play at 13:50 of the first for Toronto, but Brett Ritchie and Jamie Benn answered to give the Stars a 5-1 lead after one.
Forsberg, Rinne lead Predators past Stars, 5-2
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Pekka Rinne doesn't want November to end.
Filip Forsberg, James Neal and Ryan Johansen each had a goal and an assist to lead the Nashville Predators over the Dallas Stars 5-2 on Wednesday night.
Rinne made 33 saves for Nashville, improving to 7-1-2 this November. After he made eight saves in the first, Dallas put 22 on the Finn in the second, and he denied them all. He stopped 3 of 5 in the third.
Eaves caps Stars’ 3-goal 1st period in win over Avalanche
DALLAS (AP) — After Dallas scored three goals in the first period, it was on Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen to preserve the win.
Patrick Eaves capped Dallas' three-goal first and the Stars held off the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 Thursday night. Johnny Oduya and Brett Ritchie also scored in the first for Dallas.
Colorado outshot Dallas 30-16 in the last 40 minutes, but Lehtonen camp up big while getting 28 of his 34 saves.
Niemi makes 28 saves, Stars beat Jets 3-2
DALLAS (AP) — Antti Niemi made 28 saves, but more important than how many he made was when he made them in the Dallas Stars' 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.
"It wasn't that he was tested in bunches," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said, "but he had to make some huge saves for us. Breakaway saves, there was a couple game-changers."
The most important might have been two saves by Niemi in the latter half of the first period while the game was still 0-0.
