Martin scores 35 to lead Tigers over Tribe in overtime
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Zane Martin scored a career-high 35 points, and Brian Starr added 17 points as Towson beat William & Mary 96-82 in overtime Thursday night.
The Tigers (15-7, 5-4 Colonial Athletic Association) outscored the Tribe (13-7, 6-3) 17-3 in overtime and held them to 0-4 shooting. Martin shot 4 of 5 in OT and scored 10 of his 35 points.
Justin Pierce scored a career-high 27 points with 14 rebounds for the Tribe, and David Cohn added 17 points.
Martin, Starr lead Towson to 90-68 rout of Drexel
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Zane Martin totaled 18 points, five rebounds and four assists and Brian Starr added 16 points and six boards to power Towson to a 90-68 romp over Drexel on Thursday night.
Mike Morsell and Justin Gorham each scored 13 for the Tigers (14-6, 4-3 Colonial Athletic Association), while Deshaun Morman scored 12.
Hot-shooting Towson upends CAA leader William & Mary 99-73

Ray’s buzzer-beater 3 lifts Hofstra past Towson 76-73
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Justin Wright-Foreman scored 35 points with six 3-pointers and Jalen Ray's 3 at the buzzer lifted Hofstra to a 76-73 win over Towson on Thursday night.
Hunter Sabety grabbed Brian Starr's missed 3, Ray took the outlet pass, dribbled to about 25-feet out and got the shot away with defenders trailing the play.

Towson beats defending CAA champ UNC Wilmington 89-71
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Mike Morsell made four 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help Towson beat defending Colonial Athletic Association champion UNC Wilmington 89-71 on Friday night.
The Tigers made 12 of 22 3-pointers — with three from Brian Starr and two apiece by Zane Martin and Jordan McNeil.
Starr and Martin added 12 points apiece for Towson (11-5, 1-2). Eddie Keith II scored 11, Justin Gorham had 10 points and 10 rebounds and McNeil chipped in 10 points.
Brantley helps Charleston pull away from Towson 73-62
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Jarrell Brantley had 14 of his 24 points in the second half and Charleston pulled away to beat Towson 73-62 in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for both teams on Saturday.
Brantley had 11 of his points after the nine-minute mark of the second half, including six during an 8-0 run that gave the Cougars (10-3) a 64-48 lead with 3:46 to go.
Towson outlasts La Salle 67-60 in Northern Ireland
BELFAST, Northern Ireland (AP) — Zane Martin scored 20 points, Mike Morsell added 17 and Towson outscored La Salle 9-2 in the last 2½ minutes on Friday for a 67-60 win in the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic.
The Tigers (7-1), who have won seven straight, face Manhattan in Saturday's championship game while the Explorers (4-4) meet Holy Cross. This is the first time regular season college games have been played in Europe.
Towson edges Georgia Southern 70-67
ESTERO, Fla. (AP) — Mike Morsell scored 16 points and grabbed four rebounds and Towson edged previously unbeaten Georgia Southern 70-67 in the Gulf Coast Showcase on Wednesday night.
Eddie Keith II made a three-point play to give Towson the lead for good, 63-62, with 1:25 to play. Morsell made a layup after that and Brian Starr sank three free throws in the final 25 seconds to help keep the Tigers (5-1) on top.
Towson beats Loyola (Md.) 95-72
BALTIMORE (AP) — Brian Starr scored 21, making all seven of his attempts from the field including three 3-pointers, and Towson beat Loyola of Maryland 95-72 on Friday night.
Zane Martin added 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and the Tigers (2-1) shot 61.8 percent (34 of 55).
Cam Gregory had 17 points for the Greyhounds (0-3), who never led after the opening minutes. Towson had its largest lead at 63-30 with 14:57 left.
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Zane Martin scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting, and Williams Adala Moto had 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals to help Towson beat Northeastern 82-54 on Saturday night in a Colonial Athletic Association Tournament quarterfinal.

Northeastern beats Towson 69-62 behind Williams’ 23
BOSTON (AP) — T.J. Williams scored 23 points and made a career-high 13 of 20 free throws and Northeastern rallied to beat Towson 69-62 on Saturday night to end a four-game skid.
Alex Murphy scored 16 points for the Huskies (13-9, 6-4 Colonial Athletic Association), who made 25 of 36 free throws (69.4 percent) and held the Tigers to 37.7 percent from the field.
Towson rallies to beat Charleston 83-77 in OT
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Arnaud William Adala Moto and John Davis combined for 38 points and had nine rebounds each as Towson rallied to grab an 83-77 overtime victory over College of Charleston on Thursday night.
Deshaun Morman made two free throws to open the extra period. Mike Morsell hit two more and Davis nailed a jumper as Towson (13-9, 5-4 Colonial) gradually pulled away for its fifth straight victory.
Morsell leads Towson over Iona
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Mike Morsell scored 19 points and Towson defeated Iona 76-69 on Thursday at the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic.
William Adala Moto and Brian Starr added 14 points each — a career-best for Starr — for the Tigers (8-5), who made 21 of 30 free throws to 8 of 11 for the Gaels (8-4).
Towson had a 45-34 rebounding edge, including 13-7 on the offensive boards that led to a 15-7 advantage on second-chance points.
