ABC to join ESPN, NFL Network in broadcasting NFL draft
ABC is joining the NFL draft broadcast business and will televise all three days of picks next April.
The network will join ESPN, also part of Walt Disney Company's TV properties, for prime-time coverage on Thursday and Friday nights, April 25 and 26, from Nashville. NFL Network also will televise those two nights, which include the opening three rounds of the draft.

Wright, vice president and general manager of WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, was honored Saturday by the Virginias Associated Press Broadcasters, a group of more than 30 radio and television stations across Virginia and West Virginia.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico PBS, a public television station in a state with the largest percentage of Hispanic residents, is dropping Spanish-language TV channel Vme from its lineup due to low ratings and amid continued struggles by media companies to reach Latino audiences.
The move comes as Vme TV — the first and only Spanish broadcast television network associated with public television stations — recently announced it was transitioning to commercial cable over the next year.

Newly analyzed data shows that nearly $14.3 million has been spent this year to air more than 24,000 commercials targeting races for the Florida Senate. The total amount spent on broadcast television ads for Florida House races was slightly less than $1 million.
