Leftwich joins Buccaneers as offensive coordinator
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made it official: Byron Leftwich is the team's new offensive coordinator.
The Bucs announced the hiring Wednesday, a week after incoming coach Bruce Arians said the ex-NFL quarterback would call plays next season and Clyde Christensen would serve as quarterbacks coach.
Christensen's hiring also was announced Wednesday, when the Bucs said former player Antwaan Randle El is joining Arians' staff as an offensive assistant.

At a news conference, team President Michael Bidwill called Wilks "one of the hardest-working coaches I've ever been around" and a man respected throughout the organization.

Coleman is the first deaf player on offense to play in the NFL and he has spent four seasons in the league. He has played in 47 games since joining the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted rookie free agent out of UCLA.

NEW YORK (AP) — Bruce Arians is joining CBS as an NFL game analyst.
Arians, a two-time winner of the AP's Coach of the Year award, retired as coach of the Arizona Cardinals in January. He will work with play-by-play announcer Greg Gumbel and analyst Trent Green in a three-man booth.
Arians won the top coaching award in 2012 filling in for Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano, who was recovering from battling leukemia. He also took the honor in 2014 when the Cardinals went 11-5.

Cardinals extend GM Keim’s contract through 2022
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals have extended the contract of general manager Steve Keim through 2022.
Keim is a 19-year employee of the Cardinals, starting as a college scout in 1999. He worked his way up through the ranks to be hired as general manager on Jan. 8, 2013, just in time to help team president Michael Bidwill interview and hire Bruce Arians as head coach.
In the five-year Keim-Arians era, the Cardinals went 49-30-1 in the regular season.

PHOENIX (AP) — Steve Wilks is the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, and chances are he won't tread meekly into his new job.
"Steve's personality is as an aggressive guy," his ex-boss, Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, said.
Wilks, 48, spent last season as defensive coordinator of the Panthers after five seasons as the team's secondary coach. He's been an NFL assistant for 12 years.

SEATTLE (AP) — If this was Bruce Arians' final game with the Arizona Cardinals, he went out in perfect fashion with a win in the place he called "our home field."

Phil Dawson kicked four field goals, the last from 42 yards with 2:21 left, Blair Walsh missed a 48-yard attempt with 32 seconds left and the Cardinals beat the Seattle Seahawks 26-24 on Sunday to close the season.
